2002-2003: Thermaltake (TT) launched the Xaser II Aluminum Mouse Pad, marking the entry of aluminum alloy mouse pads into the market as an early concept product. This product measured 20cm x 20cm, was 0.3cm thick, and featured a friction-controlled surface for easy cleaning.

2008: A South Korean aluminum directional reflective mouse pad was designed specifically for laser mice. This product used an aluminum sheet as a base, with a special material coating applied to the surface using an ionization method. It enhanced laser engine sampling through directional light reflection, reducing mouse frame drops.

2010-2011: Domestic Chinese manufacturer Hellfire launched limited-edition aluminum mouse pads such as the Black Widow and Arctic Slaughter. During the same period, international brands such as Razer and Roccat also released aluminum alloy mouse pad products.

December 2014: Xiaomi released an aluminum alloy mouse pad. The product is made of all-aluminum alloy with a metal sandblasting process on the surface and CNC hollowing process on the edges. The bottom is a single piece of anti-slip silicone. In 2015, Raituo launched the MAX pure aluminum alloy mouse pad, which measures 370×260mm [10]. The Raituo MAX metal gaming mouse pad uses an anodizing process and is sandblasted, making it compatible with both optical and laser mice. In the 2020s, the market entered a stage of popularization and segmentation. Several brands, including JD.com, ORICO, Inphic, and Deli, launched aluminum alloy mouse pad products with diverse sizes, colors, and designs.
